propolis extract (minimum 90%)
Propolis, or bee putty, is considered one of the most powerful antibiotics nature has provided us with. It has such strong antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that scientists are actively publishing papers on new ways to use propolis – in dermatology, dentistry, gynaecology and also in food! Some researchers have even shown propolis extract to be more effective in reducing skin lesions associated with herpes or acne than dedicated active ingredients. Those are some results! But that is a topic for a longer lecture…
We filled the gel with: Concentrated propolis extract (minimum 90%), silica.
How does it work? The gel reduces skin imperfections and redness. Supports epidermal regeneration.
What to use it for? Apply to skin affected by minor skin lesions, papules, spots present for example during herpes, acne or folliculitis. Apply topically in skin care after minor scrapes, irritations and burns.
When not to use? Do not apply to wounds, significant skin lesions requiring medical advice and in case of hypersensitivity to bee products.
How to use it properly?
Daily care: spread a small amount of gel over the affected area with a clean, dry finger and massage until the gel is completely absorbed. Repeat as needed, usually 1-5 times a day. Other cosmetics can be applied after application.
Intensive care: Apply a layer of gel to the affected area with a clean and dry finger. Leave on skin for 30 minutes to 12 hours. You can cover the area to which the gel has been applied with a plaster*. After this time, you can remove the gel with a dry tissue or wash it off with lukewarm water.
Oral cavity: apply a small amount of gel to the mucous membrane or gums with a cotton bud or gauze wrapped around your finger. Apply 1-5 times a day.
* concentrated propolis may colour textiles – avoid the gel coming in contact with fabrics!
